The Planning and Zoning Department provides current and long range planning, zoning, mapping, addressing and flood plain management functions for Okeechobee County.

Business Tax Receipts formerly known as Occupational License: *To renew your Business Tax Receipt, please contact the Okeechobee County Tax Collector's Office at (863) 763-3421.

For home businesses, please also compete the Affidavit of Compliance Regarding Home Business. 

A building inspection may be required by the Building Department and Fire Rescue Department. An inspection may also be required from the Health Department.  

Once the application has been completed and approved, you pay for the business tax receipt at the Okeechobee County Tax Collector's Office.
